It is mandatory to use the adhesive mixed with cross linking agent like Yamadur H – 20 @ of 5% by weight in order to attain better durability of bonded surfaces, resistance to higher service temperature and wider bonding range. The bonding surfaces should be free from dust, oil and grease. A thin layer of Hardener mixed adhesive is to be applied on the surfaces to be bonded. Tack – free adhesive films on both substrates are to be heat activated at around 70ºC and then pressed together with adequate uniform pressure. Final peel strength will be achieved after 24 hours.
This adhesive is highly inflammable. Replace lid immediately after partial use. Store in a cool and dry place. Adhesive mixed with cross-linking agent has limited pot life. To avoid wastage, mix only the amount required.
